Hola friends! 👋🏼

✳︎ I am SO excited to be here on my "Nutrition Mission!" My name is Jessica, and I have been a practicing small animal veterinarian since 2014. My passion for nutrition and wellness has grown over the years, not only for pets but for me and my family too.

✳︎ Some background info on my schooling journey... I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry [[ PROUD SCIENCE NERD ALERT! ]] from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio in 2010. I was blessed to be able to move to the ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS island of Saint Kitts for veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I lived the island life there for 2.5 years, then I completed my last year of clinical rotations at Oklahoma State University. I graduated with my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in January 2014, and started my first job in private practice the next month.

✳︎ When I'm not seeing patients, I enjoy doing life with my husband, daughter, and our furbaby pack. Our clan is made up of rescues, surprising right? Ophelia, Ophie for short, is a terrier mix with neurotic tendencies. Georgia is a tripod shih tzu who loves to wrestle. Stacey is a mischievous DSH cat who is half cuddle-bug, half ninja kitty. Last but not least, Penny is our Russian Tortoise who enjoys eating and naps. Us humans like to travel when possible, mostly visiting family in other states, enjoy the outdoors, crafting, reading, cooking, dancing, and gardening.

✳︎ I look forward to connecting with others who are passionate about clean eating, nutrition, and overall wellness. I've seen the power of clean, fresh food in my patients, and let me tell you it brings tears to my eyes when I see a pet who had been chronically suffering come back to life thanks to a change in their nutrition plan.
